Clarendon Drive | Putney

RIBA Work Stage: 0 - 7

Project Description:

This extensive extension and refurbishment project transformed a late Victorian property in the Langford Conservation Area, Putney, South West London. The design features the restoration of a heritage brickwork front boundary wall and the addition of a significant side return extension with two flat roof windows. The internal layout has been reimagined across all levels to enhance functionality and flow.

On the ground floor, an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area has been created, offering seamless visual and physical connections to the garden. Additional ground floor spaces include a utility room, guest WC, cloakroom, and a combined reception and dining room.

The upper levels house a new master bedroom suite with a multi-level walk-through wardrobe and ensuite, alongside four spacious bedrooms and two family bathrooms.

The design emphasizes order, alignment, and flow, with carefully framed views of the garden from the entrance hallway. Period features have been sensitively restored at the front of the property, transitioning harmoniously into a modern family living space at the rear.
